The Next Phase
I'm excited to say that the next phase of Makoom Releases is almost here and these are some of my favorite tracks yet. As an exclusive for all of you who read the newsletter, 'Plea of Mercy' is coming on Rice Bowl Recordings in December. This track has a huge melody, massive kick, and some amazing acid stabs that make for a track full of personality and huge on dance floor appeal. I love playing this one is my sets because it has a raw emotional appeal that gets the crowd jumping every time. If you want to hear it for yourself, keep an eye on Makoom's Menagerie.

Raise Your Hands and Plea
‘Tension’
Tension is out everywhere and still rocking. During my recent trip to ADE, I received a ton of great feedback on it and crowds go bananas when I play it.

Tip of the Month: A Vocal Plugin that Puts in Work
Nuro Audio’s XVox Pro is something you should put in your toolkit. For vocal processing this plugin is pretty much a one stop shop. In the plugin world, every company wants you to spend money on their tech and oftentimes you find yourself never using what you purchased. Nuro Audio’s XVox Pro enables you to simplify your plugin chain when processing vocals. The all-in-one plugin has effects, EQ, a desser, a compressor, and several other features built in. I find that it helps me easily and transparently adjust my dry vocals to make them stand out in the mix with just the right amount of color. This tool has helped me simplify my workflow by removing the need for several copied vocal channels to help me build the reverb, width, and effects I like on my vocals. I know how intimidating shopping for the right plugins is and I wanted to share with everyone that this plugin has made a world of difference for my music!

Photo of the Month
I had such an amazing time this past month at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). I think one of the best things about the entire week was how genuine and friendly everyone I met was. I saw unknown artists having substantive conversations with industry heavyweights. It made me happy to see how much people want to collaborate and build something that moves people. I think that if you’re heart is in the right place, it will shine through in the things you do. At ADE, I saw this on display and I was thankful to surround myself with such honest and genuine people. I look forward to sharing some of our work with everyone over the coming year! 🤞🏻 That I make it back to Amsterdam next October.
