March 2026

Welcome to the March 2026 edition of my newsletter. I have some exciting new Makoom news to share this month!

1. The Truth

We’re keeping with the trend of hot new music and this month is no exception. You can find my track ‘The Truth’ out on Reverie XO wherever you get your music. This one is a belter that combines soaring melodies, a hypnotic groove, and an absolutely filthy lead stack in a package that represents my ode to the dance floor. If you want to let me know what you think, shoot me a message or a comment and I’d love to chat.

2. Tempest

In a situation reminiscent of the last newsletter, I have another tune coming on Rice Bowl Recordings a few short weeks after The Truth. Tempest is a huge main floor trance record that I play in a beautiful mashup. If you’ve seen some of my recent live sets, you’ll recognize this one for sure! Out on every platform April 3rd, its currently available on Beatport for pre-order. If you’re a DJ, I think you’ll enjoy playing this hard hitting record just as much as me.

New Shows

I can’t tell you too many details yet, but know that there are two (that’s right two) upcoming Makoom shows in April. One is an official release party for a track that I haven’t mentioned yet, but those who saw me at The Concourse Project in January may recognize 😉. Keep an eye on my socials and stay tuned for the April edition for more information!

3. High Cut and LFO Automations in Stacks

Where you put your high cuts and LFO/Shaper Box/Sidechain Compression in your stack really matters. When you process sounds, you are adding or taking away audio information and if you put the high cut or the LFO too soon in the chain, you inadvertently add things back with the plugins that come later. When I am doing my processing, the reductive high cut and LFO/Sidechain are the last two things I do! This is extremely important because it ensures that my leads or chords are not interfering with my kick and sub bass. We are making dance music and that is extremely important! As you can see below on a screen shot of the placement of these two plugins, they do not affect the sound until the end of the chain, meaning no more changes to the volume occur after them.

Second, to ensure the sound that plays during breakdowns is not affected by them, I make sure to turn them off whenever a breakdown occurs as you can see in the next screenshot. This helps reduce conflicts between your sounds and helps your tracks sound professional and polished!

4. Photo of the Month

Firstly, thank you all for believing in this journey that I’m on as an artist. Last month, all of you came together to support my record with Andomeda1 ‘Obsessed With You’ and it made it to the number two slot on the Beatport Main-Floor Trance Releases chart. This was only possible because of everyone supporting the track and I think of any success I’ve had as a success for all of us. I want to continue building a community with everyone focused on our collective growth and it is touching how many of y’all believe in this message too. I can’t wait to keep sharing my music with everyone and hope to support every other music lover in their goals too.

Thank You All
