Fallin' Deep for Fall
My latest release is here on Azure Recordings and its a progressive trance main stay. Fallin' Deep combines elements that I love from progressive house, progressive trance, and main floor. It has a great danceable first chapter that brings you to a beautiful breakdown featuring some awesome vocals and a soaring melody with counter-melody accompaniment. I wanted to create a track that really draws people in and relies on story-telling to immerse the listener and bring variety to my sets. I love this track and am happy you can find it everywhere now. Thank you to everyone for believing in the art I'm producing.

Tip of the Month: Ending Your Set with a Loop Outro
A shortening reverb loop off a quarter note is a great way to end your set, here’s how to do it:
Find a section in the outro of your last song and loop it in a spot that is largely free of changes like a downlifter or weird sound that will throw off the crowd. Use the in/out function on your DJ equipment.
Once looped, hit the loop ‘out’ button to affect the end of the loop and start shortening it by slowly touching the jog wheel counter clockwise.
As you are doing this, start layering reverb from the effects and building the tempo slightly.
Continue shortening your loop until you create one high pitched sound. While doing this, continue increasing the reverb and taking away the lows/highs to prevent it from piercing too much.
Fade it out with the residual echo creating a nice tail for the end of your music. Congratulation you just did a cool and fun end to your set.
If you have any questions or would like to have a DJ or production lesson with me in person, please reach out!
Photo of the Month
I recently got a tattoo finished that is dedicated to Austin, TX, the city of my birth and childhood. One of the many nicknames in Austin is ‘The Live Music Capital of the World’ and I know that if I did not grow up here, my path as an artist would not look like this. I wanted to get a piece that captured my feelings of love for this great city and Charlie Huurman made it a reality!

A Beautiful Piece for a Beautiful City
