Beating the Heat with Music
This Friday marks my next release on Blue Soho's White Soho Imprint. My Adrift EP is the last of my more deep and melodic productions I plan on releasing for a while. I really love how both tracks fit into my warm up sets. Adrift has an excellent groove that gives the feeling of floating on the ocean while Gravity Well draws you in with its driving percussions, basslines, and melodic progression. Each of them has a unique purpose in my early night progression and I love watching how crowds react to each. I hope you enjoy these two special tracks and I'd enjoy hearing your thoughts, drop me a line! You can listen to both tracks starting this Friday, August 8th.

Tip of the Month: Using LFOs in Serum 2
I love using LFOs in the new Serum 2 synthesizer because it gives you an awesome way to make your sounds more granular and unique. Below are three ways to apply it.
The first way is to use the LFO as a sound gate. I figure out what rate I want my LFO to run at and then make it fluctuate the volume from negative infinity to maximum to create a gate effect. This helps me make some sweet reese and other granular sounds.
The second way is to use the LFO to play with the fine tuning of the sound. This way helps make the sound have a more analog feel because there is some modulation in the pitch that better replicates an old synthesizer. I usually use a ¼ or ½ rate and put a small notch in the LFO table form to create a modulation in the tuner.
Third, is messing with panning. This helps you make your sound pan slightly to the left and right in the stereo field at an offset rate which gives your composition a lot more movement. By doing this, you can make that big lead sound like it’s dancing around the crowd!

An intimate group at an amazing spot, but this time, I suggested we film everything. That’s what we did and we are getting the film together to share with everyone!
